Sponge Soaps

The production of sponge soaps involves the traditional soap-making process along with sponge integration. The first step in sponge soap production is preparing the soap base, typically done using oils (like olive oil, coconut oil, etc.) and an alkaline solution (usually sodium hydroxide). These materials are mixed, and the saponification process begins, where the oils and alkali combine to form soap. The sponge is cut to the appropriate size and shape before being integrated into the soap. Once the saponification process is complete, the still-liquid soap base is poured over the prepared sponges or the sponges are dipped into the soap mixture. The cut soaps are then left to dry completely before being made available for use.
